Simon’s Town Museum

Simon’s Town Museum

The Simon’s Town Museum was established in 1977 by the Friends of the Simon’s Town Museum and Simon’s Town Historical Society to collect and preserve the history of the Simon’s Town community, past and present. Emphasis is placed on our immense diversity of origins, cultures and religions. We look at tour links to national and international history and the ongoing impact of forced removals on our community.

Our exhibitions include:

  • The Mountains in the Sea

  • The People of Simon’s Town

  • The Forced Removals

  • The Prisoner-of-War Camp (South African War 1900-1902)

  • Simon’s Town’s Participation in the World Wars

  • The AB Just Nuisance Story
